Welcome to Raccoon 101

This site is devoted to providing resources for this terribly misunderstood species. Whether you’ve found a potentially orphaned raccoon, are interested in laws concerning pet raccoon ownership in your state, considering becoming a  wildlife volunteer (you are so desperately needed), or interested in raccoon care and enrichment (if you are lucky enough to live in one of the very few states where raccoons are legal to care for by the general public), we hope you find this site to be useful.

WILDLIFE REHABILITATORS RECEIVE ZERO GOVERNMENT FUNDING.

It costs $900 to raise and release ONE RACCOON (vaccinations, deworming, formula, and months of weaning/dry food). Vet bills can also run in the thousands for injured juveniles and adults. Please show your support by being willing to transport animals to Rehabbers and donate monetarily or through much-needed supplies to show them your appreciation.
